PCP track report

Last weekend I tested out the putrajaya trails it seemed pretty smooth at first look but once we started riding it it felt really sluggish, sand was starting to fill it up and the dampness slowed everthing down! It was no longer fast as before hopefull the management would clear out the sand before they organise anything out there! Check Pcp out here

tendernest of fist...

Tenderfist
www.myspace.com/tenderfist
Tenderfist is certainly a name that has been in the spotlight in the past month or so. Not only did they open for Kings of Convenience’s gig recently, the latter also opened for Tenderfist at Cloth & Clef a night before the concert. With a name picked from a typeface mag when they formed in 2006, Tenderfist had other choices for band names that included Trotsky Fudge (catchy!). Aged between 21-31, the band comprises of Nazri on sampler and synths, Faiz on keyboards and analogue sequencers, and Edzwan on vocals and guitar. Tenderfist often cites New Order as inspiration but they are also inspired by Jens Lenkman, The Radio Dept, some interview footage of Ol’ Dirty Ba$tard and “the wide shot thing Wes Anderson does in all his movies”. For now, you will be able to hear their old songs and demos on MySpace as they are in the middle of recording an independently released effort. They’ve had a lot of memories so far, from opening for Killeur Calculateur and Stoned Revivals at
Disko Papan 2 to playing at Urbanscapes 2009, where their equipment nearly melted in the hot sun. In the future, they hope to play gigs outside of KL or Malaysia and have a blast doing it. With the underrated talent they possess, we at JUICE fully support Tenderfist all the way!

Koh-e-Beefy, Wakhan Corridor, Afganistan.....

A few months back a few mates of mine from Zurich (but non of them are actually swiss) climbed and unclimbed peak all the way out in Afghanistan. Here is the coverage out on the BBC! A good one guys-A good one...Go Chris and Joel! Oh and they named it after Joel's late brother

Dragon's Vendetta tryout...

I recently got my hands on this bad boy which i use with my TLD helmet for wee bit of downhill action and free riding and I'm extremely happy with its performance, super clear and FOG FREE! Pretty dam good for the sweaty conditions of the malaysian forest... plus Taylor Reeve, works are pretty cool....

Alright, so enough of naked french girls back to bikes

So, I came across this video a few months back and i loved it so much for the clever angles and crips images that this bloody camera churs out... truly one you should get if your into making short web edits like this one, besides that 3 other favorite things are in the video, a bmx, snow and Eterklang!

Dirt magazine's Iphone/Ipad app

So, with the recent launch of the Ipad, Dirt Mountain Bike magazine and Ride Bmx (UK) have recently launched their Iphone/Ipad app which I recently downloaded and had a play around today on my phone.

Pros: Access online magazines with ease anywhere you are especially your on commute or waiting in on your dentist appointment!

Cons: Images are way too small for my liking on the iphone but I can imagine it being such a treat to read on the ipad, Also its not free, a monthly subscription will cost you $11.99 per annum and $2.99 per issue.

Over all, Its great fun for a play around but, It does not beat the real deal.
