Beddo – Japanese for ‘bed’ – designed by Christina Liljenberg Halstrøm, is a minimalist sofa, comprising of a low-level, thin upholstered plane with a wooden structure for a removable backrest. This is not intended as a soft and comfy sofa for couch potatoes but rather a simple resting place, which still requires some physical activity, hence addressing the fact that lack of corporal motion is one reason for an increasing number of people with back and joint pain.
